Official Projects

In an effort to save our nation’s historic and cultural legacy, Save America’s Treasures has bestowed "Official Project" designation on cultural, historical, educational and architectural projects across the United States. By naming Official Projects, Save America's Treasures brings national recognition to significant preservation efforts across the country.

The primary benefit of this designation is association with the program itself. These projects are allowed to use the "Save America’s Treasures" name and logo to assist in promotional and public awareness activities. While some of these projects were designated during the millennium celebration and thus have not yet received funding through the program, many have been awarded either federal Save America's Treasures challenge grants or private contributions raised through SAT at the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

**The 2008 federal Save America's Treasures grant winners have just been announced. While they are included in the above list, a separate 2008 grant list, as well as further information on the federal grant program, can be found at the federal Save America's Treasures website.
